It is worth thinking long and hard about buying a Cavalier puppy. The first thing is cost, you can buy puppies from breeders who do not always use the best stock. It is not a cheap excercise to do it right so expect to pay from £550.00 upwards, this will just about cover the costs and expect to pay a lot more for a show quality puppy.If you cant afford to pay at least £500.00 then think what a vet will charge for treatment if you buy a puppy and it needs any treatment or worse.If you can buy insurance its worth it! and means your dog will always be able to have the best treatment without you having to worry about the bill.
Cavalier Club members are, in our opinion, the only safe way to buy a puppy. You can find the web site via our links page.
So please be carefull and do not rush into buying a Cavalier without checking. Any club member would be pleased to help and advise. Why not also consider taking an older dog or bitch.
